What is NLP?
DON'T THINK OF A PURPLE ELEPHANT.
If I said - Don't think of a purple elephant .....
Don't think of a nice ripe yellow banana.......
Don't think of the smell of rich, strong coffee brewing......
Or the taste of a sour lemon in your mouth.
Your mind went straight to that very thing you weren't
suppose to think about each time, didn't it?
You see, in order for you to think about ....what you aren't suppose to think about ....you have to first think about the very thing you weren't suppose to think about.
That was confusing wasn't it.
No... I don't want you to feel like you are going crazy, I just gave you a little sample of how your mind works.
For instance if you want to 'lose weight', never say to yourself, I don't want to be fat, or I hate being fat, because instantly your mind brings up (and reinforces ) an image of you being fat. Likewise, never say, I dont want to be stuggling for money all my life, because instantly you see yourself struggling. If you think about what you DON'T want you are continuously bringing up those negative images and it becomes almost impossible for your mind to create what you actually DO want.
By learning more about how your mind works, even while you sleep, you will naturally and easily begin to say things to yourself like, I am becoming healthy, fit and lean, or I am now starting to create more wealth in my life. Instantly your mind sees hope, and more importantly, you give your subconcious mind a new focus and direction. The difference in the way you communicate with yourself can and will create amazing results.
You are more wonderful, more complicated and more intelligent that you give yourself credit for. Your brain goes through programs much the same as a computer does, it brings up images and information on command although your brain is far more advanced than any computer we are ever likely to see.
